We’re Hiring an Estimator

The Quiet Discipline Behind Brilliant Work

Walk through our 45,000 sq ft Birmingham HQ on any given day and you’ll see a lot of impressive things in motion. The SwissQprint Kudu running a complex flatbed job. The EFI VUTEk M3h hybrid laying down vivid UV graphics. The Hasler Magna trimming five-metre panels with millimetre accuracy.

What you won’t see, but what makes all of it possible, is the estimating work that happens before any of it starts. The careful, considered process of turning a brief into a quote that’s accurate, deliverable and commercially sound. It’s the quiet discipline behind brilliant work, and it’s one of the most important roles in the business.

We’re hiring an Estimator to join our commercial team, on a salary package built to reflect how seriously we take the role.

Why estimating matters here

Hollywood Monster has built its reputation on doing the hard jobs properly. National rollouts, complex installations, projects with no margin for error. None of that is possible without estimating that gets it right first time.

Our Estimator is the person who makes sure we can say yes to ambitious work with confidence, knowing the numbers stack up, the production plan is realistic, and the team has what it needs to deliver. It’s a role for someone who takes genuine pride in accuracy, enjoys the puzzle of complex jobs, and likes being the person the rest of the team can rely on.

About Hollywood Monster

Hollywood Monster has spent more than three decades building a reputation for visual work that other people can’t quite pull off. We’re a Birmingham-based, family-rooted business that’s grown into one of the UK’s most respected names in large-format print, fabricated and digital signage, trusted by brands like McDonald’s, Westfield, Adidas and Birmingham City FC. Our work shows up on building wraps, in flagship retail environments, across national rollouts and at major live events. It’s bold, technical, and held to a standard we call #MonsterImpact: bold work, delivered with skill, care and zero drama. From our 45,000 sq ft Birmingham HQ, we serve clients across retail, leisure, live events, property, corporate and commercial fit-out.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, full-time role for an experienced Estimator based at our Birmingham HQ, with hybrid working considered.

The Estimator will manage the estimating process across all live and prospective projects, preparing tenders, quotes and costings from initial brief through to submission. The role spans the full breadth of what we do, large-format print, vinyl graphics, fabrication, hard signage, LED and digital displays, specialist finishes and installation, so a working knowledge of every part of the signage industry is essential. You’ll be liaising regularly with external suppliers to gather quotes and pull pricing together, working closely with production, project management and the wider commercial team to ensure every estimate is accurate, deliverable and commercially sound. You’ll also support account managers and directors with commercial input on complex jobs, helping the business respond quickly and confidently to opportunities as they arise. It’s a role with significant influence on what we win and how well we deliver it.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as an estimator within the signage, large-format print or wide-format production industry
  • Strong working knowledge of the signage industry as a whole, including print, fabrication, assembly, hard signage, LED and digital displays
  • Confident liaising with external suppliers to source quotes and bring pricing together across multi-discipline projects
  • Strong track record on tenders and quote submissions, with a sharp eye for accuracy
  • Solid understanding of print and signage production processes, materials and finishing
  • Organised, proactive and commercially aware
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and suppliers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-standards environment
  • Clarity training (preferred)

Salary & Package

We’ve benchmarked this role carefully and believe our offer sits comfortably at the upper end of the industry. Hollywood Monster is investing in the right people for the next phase of our growth, and we’ve built a package that reflects that. Full details, including bonus structure and wider benefits, will be shared on application.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the next move for you, we’d love to hear from you. Send your CV and a short note about why this role caught your attention via the form.
