How Hollywood Monster Brought beMatrix Innovation Day to Life with Neon-Soaked Brilliance!

Neon Soaked Brilliance!

When you’ve worked in partnership with a brand like beMatrix for over 2 years,  it’s more than a supply relationship – it’s a collaboration powered by deep technical knowledge, creative ambition, and mutual respect. That’s why when Innovation Day rolled around – the flagship event in the beMatrix calendar – we didn’t just show up. We showed what great print can do.

The Mission: Big Ideas. Bigger Impact.

beMatrix Innovation Day isn’t your average industry meetup. It’s where the boundaries of modular design are pushed, where fresh thinking is celebrated, and where print has to work harder than ever to make a mark.

We were asked – as one of only a handful of global beMatrix print partners – to handle every square metre of print across the entire event. That’s over 1,000 square metres of fabric graphics, designed and produced to perfection using tension fabric systems and backlit lightboxes.

No pressure then.

This wasn’t just about filling frames. It was about creating theatre. Energy. Movement. And above all, impact.

Get NEON NOW!

Behind the Print: Speed, Scale and Serious Tech

The entire event was built using the beMatrix modular system, and every graphic we delivered was produced specifically for tension fabric frames – from wall-to-wall installations to glowing product showcases.

We printed everything on high-performance material supplied by the legends at  UFabrik – whose innovation and consistency play a massive role in our ability to print at this level. Big thanks to their team for always delivering the goods.

On site, our very own Mat Jephcott, Jo Worton, and Faye Ganderton were there to oversee install and connect with industry peers. They didn’t just represent the Monster – they helped cement why this partnership works: because we know the product inside out, and we bring serious energy to every brief.

Let’s Talk Neon Printing

And now to the part that everyone was talking about: neon printing.

Neon wasn’t just a visual flourish – it was a conversation starter. A head-turner. A reason to stop, take a photo, and say “Wow, who did this?

Our high-impact neon prints weren’t just bright – they were precise. We used advanced fluorescent ink techniques to create bold colourways that absolutely exploded under lightbox conditions. From glowing entry visuals to immersive walls and stand features, the neon work delivered real atmosphere and serious engagement.

We had comments flying all day:

“That neon wall is unreal.”
“We need that for our next show.”
“Best graphics I’ve seen at any event this year.”

Job done.

A Closer Look: The Power of Tension Fabric Systems

Every graphic we produced was created for tension fabric systems – a format we know like the back of our hand. beMatrix’s modular design demands pinpoint precision and clean, confident finish lines. There is no room for error.

Tension fabric delivers:

  • Crisp visuals with no sag or shadow
  • Seamless integration into modular systems
  • Lightweight yet robust structures for fast install
  • Perfect backlighting opportunities

With backlit boxes, light tension frames, and immersive set builds, we maximised every opportunity to show just how good this system can look when supported by world-class print.

Behind the Scenes: On the Ground with the Team

Being at Innovation Day wasn’t just about what we printed – it was about who was there.

Mat Jephcott, Jo Worton, and Faye Ganderton were all on the ground, supporting install, liaising with event teams, and spending time with the people we printed for. It meant live feedback, real conversations, and plenty of insights into what matters most to our partners.

From material queries to modular quirks, having seasoned team members present made a huge difference. They didn’t just solve problems – they anticipated them. It’s what happens when you know the system, the pressure, and the pace.

We’ve been working with beMatrix for over 2 years – and that shows in everything from our prep workflows to our install accuracy.

We understand:

  • The nuances of the frame system
  • How to create artwork that fits perfectly (first time)
  • What substrates respond best under pressure
  • How to deliver speed without compromising finish

That’s why we’re proud to be more than a supplier. We’re a trusted partner who understands their goals, shares their vision, and can deliver under pressure. Plus as the official print partner to the NEC group too we know a thing, or a few million things about making print stand out at events!

What’s Next? Print Trends We’re Watching

We don’t just deliver today’s print. We plan for tomorrow’s.

Here’s what we’re watching across the events and exhibition space:

  • Neon printing will only grow in demand – especially for brands wanting social-first visibility
  • Tension fabric systems are now the standard for high-spec builds – fast, flexible, flawless
  • Sustainable substrates and reusability will become key differentiators
  • Rapid response production is no longer optional – it’s the baseline

Innovation Day was the perfect opportunity to not only show what we do now, but signal where we’re headed next.

This wasn’t just a showcase of print. It was a masterclass in collaboration, planning, and performance under pressure.

  • beMatrix brought the platform
  • UFabrik brought the premium material
  • Hollywood Monster brought the vision, the tech, and the team to make it sing

From ultra-clean installation to pixel-perfect colour, this was a live example of what’s possible when scale, speed, and standout creativity collide. And when it comes to beMatrix print capability, we don’t just talk the talk – we deliver, live, in front of hundreds of event professionals.

Thinking About Your Next Event?

If you saw us at Innovation Day, you’ve already seen what we can do with tension fabric graphics, lightbox systems, and neon printing at scale. If you didn’t, no worries – we’d love to show you what’s possible.

Whether it’s 10 square metres or 100,000, the question isn’t can it be done?
It’s how big do you want to go?

Ready to light up your next event?
Drop us a message. We’ll bring the neon.

But beyond the packed panels and high-powered networking, there’s one gathering we’re especially fired up about: the Midday Meet-Ups, hosted by Centrick, featuring a heavyweight crew of placemaking partners (including us, Hollywood Monster).

So, what’s it all about? And more importantly – what does it mean for property pros looking to create developments that actually get noticed?

Need proof? Take a look at our property and construction solutions:

Whether you’re marketing a new development, rebranding a commercial site, or launching a build-to-rent scheme, your visuals matter more than ever. They drive footfall, attract investors, and shape public perception from day one.

And in the race to stand out at events like UKREiiF – and beyond – a killer wrap or branded hoarding might just be your most powerful marketing tool.

Why We’re at UKREiiF – And Why You Should Be Too

We’re here because we believe property deserves more than bricks and mortar.
It deserves character. Identity. Impact.

We’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the business to turn development sites into brand powerhouses – and we know how to make your vision visible.

So whether you’re heading to UKREiiF to pitch, partner, or simply get inspired, make time for the Midday Meet-Ups. Meet our chairman, Tim Andrews MBE, and let’s talk about how signage, print, and storytelling can turn your next project into a place people genuinely remember.

  • Midday Meet-Ups @ UKREiiF

Meet us at UKREIIF

Don’t Just Build It. Brand It.

With billions being invested in UK regeneration, the window to get noticed is short – and shrinking.

We turn construction sites into marketing assets.
We turn blank spaces into monster-sized brand stories.

See you in Leeds. Let’s make something big.

From February, Hollywood Monster customers will be able to benefit from the stand building system which combines all the benefits of a modular system with the flexibility of custom-made solutions.

One single kit frame system can be configured into a multitude of stand concepts, making it cost effective and minimising waste. Plus, when combined with Hollywood Monster’s striking print finishes, it can create bold and memorable designs.

The partnership has seen Hollywood Monster make significant investment into its Birmingham site, including cutting-edge technology with the acquisition of a state-of-the-art Silicone Edge Automated Stitching (SEAS) machine. RGVA UNVEILS NEW TRAXX BANNER SYSTEM CAPABLE OF ‘CLEANING’ THE AIR

Alongside partners Clean Air and Hollywood Monster, commercial fleet graphics specialist RGVA is launching an ingenious sustainability solution for its Traxx trailer framing system – a new specialist coating capable of ‘cleaning’ the air of pollutants.

A major step forward for the transport and logistics industry, the ISO certified product developed by Clean Air, is a clear, spray-on coating activated by sunlight. Primarily targeting harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollutants, a single trailer fitted with Traxx banners can negate the impact of 2,555 average vehicle journeys per year.

Mike Freely, Director of Clean Air, says: “We have been working as part of a joint venture with Resysten, the company that created the original advanced antimicrobial surface coating. Together, we have developed that technology over a number of years into an atmospheric pollutant remover.

“The premise of the system is simple, the combination of a trailer’s large surface area and the distances it travels gives the Clean Air spray plenty of opportunities to work its magic. Breaking down airborne pollutants simply by passing through them, we’re able to help businesses as they strive to cut emissions and improve sustainability.”

The Clean Air spray’s core ingredient – titanium dioxide – is a photocatalyst that uses sunlight to break down NOx particles it comes into contact with into harmless nitrogen, oxygen and nitrates, dispersing them back into the environment.

Currently only available through RGVA’s innovative Traxx banner system, Clean Air has been ISO 22197-1 accredited with a NOx decomposition rate of 0.222g per m² per day. With 64m² on a standard 13.6m trailer, a treated Traxx system will come into contact with 12,800m³ of air per day, ‘cleaning’ 5.42kg of NOx per year, equivalent to 1.62 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

Kieran McCabe, Managing Director of RGVA, says: “We’ve been working on this project for some time and it’s incredibly exciting to be launching it to the transport industry. The science behind the Clean Air product is well established, and through RGVA and Hollywood Monster’s graphics expertise, we’re able to deliver a sustainability solution that can really make a difference.”

Printing of the Traxx banners and the application of the spray is carried out by the expert team at signage company Hollywood Monster. Using an electric static gun, the spray is applied at the company’s purified, climate-controlled facility. Incredibly safe and non-toxic, the process requires no more than the standard PPE used with any other spray product.

Simon McKenzie, Chief Executive Officer for Hollywood Monster, says: “This product has the ability to make a big impact at a negligible cost. With looming net zero deadlines, we want to remove the barriers for companies trying to find ways to reduce their emissions.”

Recently awarded 3M Select Platinum Partner status, RGVA consistently sits at the forefront of vehicle graphics solutions.
