Hollywood Monster is entering its most ambitious chapter to date. After more than three decades of building one of the UK’s most respected names in large-format print, hard and digital signage, we’re investing in the people, the kit and the commercial firepower to take the business significantly further. The next twelve months will see us deepen our work with national brands, push into new sectors, and continue to take on the kind of complex, high-visibility projects that have become our signature.
To do that properly, we’re adding a senior commercial leader to the team on a salary package designed to attract the best in the industry. If that sounds like you – keep reading.
Why this role, and why now
The work we do is rarely straightforward. It might be a building wrap that has to land perfectly across twenty panels twenty feet up, a national rollout across hundreds of retail locations, or a sustainability programme delivered for one of the most recognisable brands on the high street. Clients come to us because they need work that will be noticed, and because they trust us to deliver it without drama.
That kind of work demands a certain kind of commercial leader. Someone who can hold a confident conversation with a marketing director, a procurement lead, an operations team and a creative agency, often in the same week. Someone who understands that big ideas only matter if they can be delivered profitably and brilliantly. Someone who leads from the front.
If that sounds like you, we’d like to talk.
About Hollywood Monster
Hollywood Monster has spent more than three decades building a reputation for visual work that other people can’t quite pull off. We’re a Birmingham-based, family-rooted business that’s grown into one of the UK’s most respected names in large-format print, fabricated and digital signage, trusted by brands like McDonald’s, Westfield, Adidas and Birmingham City FC. Our work shows up on building wraps, in flagship retail environments, across national rollouts and at major live events. It’s bold, technical, and held to a standard we call #MonsterImpact: bold work, delivered with skill, care and zero drama. From our 30,000 sq ft Birmingham HQ, we serve clients across retail, leisure, live events, property, corporate and commercial fit-out.
About the Role
This is a senior, full-time role for an Account Director, hybrid with regular presence at our Birmingham HQ and travel to client sites across the UK. It’s a strategic seat at a business entering its most ambitious phase yet, with a clear remit to grow our presence in retail environments, outdoor media and the agency world.
The Account Director will open up and develop new national client relationships across those sectors, lead high-stakes commercial conversations at C-suite level, and play a defining role in where Hollywood Monster goes next. You’ll be the person who turns warm introductions into long-term accounts, who clients call when the brief is complex, the deadline is tight, and the work has to be flawless. Day to day, that means setting account strategy, identifying and converting new business in target sectors, and working shoulder to shoulder with production, operations and leadership to turn ambitious ideas into commercially successful work.
- Significant experience in a senior client-facing role, with a track record of winning and growing accounts in retail environments, outdoor media and/or agency sectors
- A strong existing network across brand teams, agencies and media owners
- Demonstrable success in opening up new sectors or territories for a business
- Commercially astute, confident and credible at C-suite level
- A natural ability to translate big creative ambition into profitable, well-executed work
- Senior presence with the judgement to lead from the front and the discipline to deliver
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Genuine interest in the UK large-format print, signage or visual communications market
- Clarity training (preferred)
