Celebrating 30 Years of Wide Format Print and Signage
This month marks our 30 year anniversary and what a 30 years it has been…
All of this started out in our founder John Andrews Loft until we bought our first 2000 sq. ft. unit in Acocks Green. Our family-run business is now working with some of the biggest brands in the world such as McDonald’s and The Coca-Cola Company. We have successfully launched two of the biggest shopping centres in the UK with Westfield and we have delivered some of the biggest sporting events in the world, including the Olympics in 2012. We have won Wide Format Printer of the year for 3 years running and successfully converted 90% of our products to eco-friendly products.
Over the 30 years, we have had six different factories in Birmingham, moving to our current HQ in Tyseley in 2009. From the very start, we were committed to investing in the latest technology giving our clients access to the best quality finish. Our first big investment in 2001 was the purchase of a 5m Blueboard, printing at just 75 dpi and 40 sqm per hour – £6m and 18 machines later we are printing at 1000 dpi and 300 sqm per hour, just shows how far the print technology has come since we first made our entry into the market place.
We are hugely proud of how we have grown and diversified the business over the years, and we owe all of this to our loyal suppliers, customers and staff old and new, who without we wouldn’t be where we are today. Here’s to another 30 years.
