We are proud to be working in partnership with one of our long-standing customers, CSM Live to deliver the city dressings for the Commonwealth Games taking place in our very own hometown, Birmingham.
With the arrival of our brand new EFI-dye sublimation printer, we showed what we can do during the bid process, creating a giant 20m x 20m polyester outdoor flag, printed, stitched and finished in our production facility – a popular addition for these kinds of events – showing our enthusiasm and dedication to the games and our collective love of sport in our business.
We will be dressing some of the most iconic buildings in Birmingham with the bright colours of the Commonwealth Games to celebrate one of the biggest events in Birmingham’s history, including the Alexander Stadium and Birmingham Town Hall.
The exciting 11-day event starts on Thursday 28th July, bringing more than 5,000 athletes to the city, representing 72 nations and territories, with 280medal events across 20 different sports – it will be remembered for many years to come.
This year’s games aim to prioritise and support sustainability and is set to be the most sustainable games yet, incorporating a number of key pillars. With sustainability at the heart of our business ethos, we knew that we had to be a part of this event and support those who want change as much as we do.
There’s lots of preparation to do behind the scenes, our machines are going to be printing at full capacity to get everything ready in time, but we cannot wait for the event to start. We will be there soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the sports, we hope to see you there cheering on and supporting our athletes! We’re going for gold!
