Hollywood Monster partnered with Aston Villa FC to create a groundbreaking TIFO display, designed to deliver a dramatic visual impact during a high-stakes F.A. Cup semi-final match. The club wanted a visual spectacle that would electrify the crowd, honour the team’s legacy, and generate a powerful, unifying moment for both players and fans.
This project was also a pioneering effort, as it marked the first time such a large-scale, coordinated TIFO display had been done in Birmingham. The club trusted us to install the system for this very first time, setting a new precedent for large-scale sports signage in the UK.

Solutions We Provided Aston Villa FC
We delivered a full turnkey solution, managing the entire project from production to complex on-site installation. The giant 25m x 15m flag was printed on our state-of-the-art Dye Sub machine on May 1st, 2019, using water-based inks. This process ensured a high-quality, vibrant finish while also aligning with our commitment to sustainable printing methods.
The installation was the most demanding part of the project. Due to complex access issues over the historic Holte End, the only logical route for access was with a team of highly trained, roped-access personnel. Safety was paramount, especially given the live setting with a full stadium of fans below. We deployed a team of six highly trained abseilers to rig and secure the flag. We used a robust 50mm diameter marine rope to ensure the flag was safely and securely attached, completing the job with precision and confidence.

- A 25m x 15m TIFO flag: A massive, custom-designed flag printed on our Dye Sub machine using water-based inks to ensure vibrant, high-quality graphics for a powerful visual spectacle.
